This two-week family adventure is designed to create unforgettable memories for all ages. Blending gentle exploration, hands-on experiences, and plenty of time to relax, this journey introduces Albania in a way that is fun, safe, and inspiring for both children and parents.
The adventure begins in Tirana, a colorful and energetic capital where history, green spaces, and playful activities come together. From cable cars and adventure parks to interactive museums and lively squares, the city sets an exciting tone for the journey ahead. Traveling north, families settle into unique accommodations near Shkodra — including a magical treehouse stay — surrounded by lakes, beaches, and wide-open spaces perfect for kids to explore freely.
Several flexible days allow you to choose your own pace: boat rides on the spectacular Lake Koman, easy mountain adventures in the Albanian Alps, or relaxed lakeside days filled with swimming, cycling, and nature. These days are about freedom, curiosity, and shared moments in some of Albania’s most beautiful natural settings.
Culture comes to life in Berat, the UNESCO-listed “city of a thousand windows,” where castle walls are still home to local families. Here, history is tangible and engaging, with options for outdoor adventures, gentle hikes, cooking experiences, and family-friendly tastings that can easily be adapted to all ages.
The journey continues south along one of Europe’s most scenic coastal roads, leading to the laid-back town of Himara on the Albanian Riviera. With crystal-clear waters, calm beaches, and optional boat trips to hidden coves and sea caves, the final days are all about sun, sea, and slowing down together before returning home.

Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Tirana
Upon arrival, an Albania2Go driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Tirana. After check-in, enjoy a walk through the city center and enjoy dinner in one of the amazing restaurants of Tirana.
Day 2: Whole day in Tirana
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Tirana, or add some adventure with a visit to Bunk’Art 1, a cable car ride to Mount Dajti (and play at the adventure park), or ziplining.
Day 3: Exploring the north
After breakfast, collect your rental car at the hotel at 09:00 and drive north to Shkodra to your own treehouse! Along the way, you may stop for lunch at the renowned slow-food restaurant Mrizi i Zanave. Continue to Shkodra with visits to Rozafa Castle and the Mesi Bridge, and enjoy an evening stroll along the boulevard or on the beach of your accommodation.
Day 4, Day 5 & Day 6: Visit the Albanian Alps, take a tour on the lake of Koman or relaxing on the shores of Lake Shkodra
Today you can relax in Shkodra with activities on the lake, or head into the Albanian Alps to explore the scenic villages of Theth or Lepushe via a panoramic mountain road. Another amazing day trip would be the boat ride on the Koman lake!
Day 7: UNESCO town Berat
After breakfast, drive to Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as “the city of a thousand windows,” welcomes you to explore the Mangalem neighborhood and the Castle where people still live within the castle walls, preserving centuries-old traditions.
Day 8: Adventure/wine day in Berat
Today offers plenty of options: hike Mount Tomorri with a 4x4 transfer to the trailhead and enjoy lunch with breathtaking views, take an e-bike tour or a river hike through Osumi Canyon, explore Berat with a traditional Albanian cooking class, or simply relax with a wine tasting at one of Albania’s top wineries.
Day 9: Drive along the panoramic road along the coastline
After breakfast, depart for the Albanian Riviera, with a short stop at the Llogara Pass to enjoy the amazing panoramic view! From here it is around one hour to your hotel in the peaceful town of Himara.
Day 10, Day 12, Day 13 & Day 14: Beach day
Today is yours to relax on the beach by your hotel, explore nearby beaches, or take a boat tour to discover secluded beaches and sea caves.
Day 15: Back home
If there is some time, you could enjoy the last sun on the beach before you drive in around 4 hours to the airport of Tirana.
