Overview

This in-depth 17-day journey takes you beyond borders and into the cultural, natural, and historical heart of the Western Balkans. From lively capitals and UNESCO-listed towns to alpine landscapes, ancient lakes, and sun-drenched coastlines, this tour reveals three countries through their most authentic and unforgettable experiences.

The adventure begins in Tirana, Albania’s vibrant capital, before heading north toward Shkodra and into the dramatic Albanian Alps. Here, winding mountain roads, traditional villages, and the legendary ferry across Lake Koman unveil one of Europe’s most spectacular natural settings. Time in Valbona offers space to slow down, breathe deeply, and immerse yourself in untouched alpine beauty.

Crossing into Kosovo, the journey introduces a fascinating blend of cultures, faiths, and histories. From the serenity of the UNESCO-listed Dečani Monastery to the lively streets of Prizren and Pristina, you experience a young country proud of its heritage and energy. The route continues into North Macedonia, where Skopje’s eclectic cityscape leads you south to the shores of Lake Ohrid — one of Europe’s oldest and most enchanting lakes, rich in history, spirituality, and timeless charm.

Returning to Albania, the landscape shifts once more — through the cultural elegance of Korçë, the natural tranquility of Përmet and its thermal waters, and the stone-built splendor of Gjirokastra. Along the Albanian Riviera, ancient civilizations emerge in Butrint, turquoise waters shimmer in Ksamil, and panoramic coastal roads frame the Ionian Sea.

The journey concludes in Berat, the iconic “city of a thousand windows,” where history, tradition, adventure, and gastronomy come together. Whether hiking mountain trails, exploring canyons, tasting local wines, or simply soaking in centuries-old atmospheres, every day offers balance between discovery and leisure.

Thoughtfully paced and rich in contrasts, this tour is designed for travelers seeking depth, variety, and authenticity. It is not just a trip across three countries — it is a journey through landscapes, cultures, and stories that linger long after you return home.
